Ensuring the center is safe and effective with a caring and nurturing environment in each classroom Curriculum development - through the oversight of the overall education program, supporting classrooms and facilitating a positive and stimulating environment Overseeing the hiring and training of new staff members - selecting not just qualified candidates, but also those who fit with the philosophy, values and culture of the program. This includes evaluating candidates, conducting onsite interviews and a working classroom interview as well. Knowledge of FLIGHT, Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Alberta Childcare Licensing and Accreditation Standards Early Childhood Education diploma or degree from a recognized college or University Child Development Supervisor (Level 3 required) Valid first-aid certificate (required), Current criminal record check including a vulnerable sector check (required) Ability to lift a min. of 40 lbs. especially when working with infants and toddlers experience (an asset). Early Childhood Educator: Level 1, 2 and 3 (1-3-year experience working with children in a childcare setting)
We are looking to hire up to 5 fulltime Early Childhood Educators we are looking for people who are dedicated, energetic, dynamic, and crafty, but most of all has empathy for working with children. We are a play-based program that is inspired by Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework (Flight).

Cook
As a Cook, you will be responsible for food preparation, portion and assembly, and serving of menu items with limited supervision. Your typical duties may include preparing multi-ingredient recipes from raw ingredients using various cooking techniques and established recipes, preparing meals using precooked products utilizing various re-thermalization techniques and ensuring meals are appropriately portioned. You will follow AHS guidelines for quantity and quality controls, food safety standards, and established cleaning and sanitization practices to ensure the cleanliness of cooking equipment and work areas.
As a Cook, you will be an integral part of the team providing nutritious, healthy, and high quality meal service for children. You will be accountable for performing various tasks under minimal supervision while using strong, teamwork, organizational and leadership skills to: Prepare and support serving high quality meals following standardized recipes, menu documents and AHS policies. Assist inventory and ordering of food supplies. Safely operate and clean food service equipment. Comply with all AHS safety and sanitation policies. Complete other food service duties as assigned. Work with speed and accuracy at a fast pace. Communicate effectively in English. Work as an effective, professional team member. Demonstrate a patient & centre first approach as outlined in the AHS Foundational Strategies and may sometime be required to support early child educators in caring for children.
